HI, I'M
SENNA!
And yes, I'm probably that friend who has a ridiculously long list of restaurants saved on Google Maps.
I'm Dutch, grew up in Málaga and currently live in Barcelona. I originally moved here for an internship, but I guess I was never going to stay away from Spain for too long.
The weather, the food, the atmosphere, the people sitting outside having a drink at practically any hour of the day... I love it all.
My love for travelling started long before Barcelona. Growing up, my parents were always taking my sister and me somewhere. Sometimes a city trip, other times a longer holiday in Asia. I absolutely loved it.
Discovering new countries and experiencing different cultures was always something I looked forward to. And honestly, not much has changed. I'm still happiest when I have a new place to explore or a trip to look forward to.
And speaking of discovering places... I'm the kind of person who spends an embarrassing amount of time researching restaurants. I'll scroll through menus and reviews before finally deciding where to eat.
But the people I take with me are usually pretty happy with my choices, so I'd say it's worth it.
My camera roll is full of food pictures and my Google Maps is slightly out of control. I'm always adding another restaurant before I've even visited the last five.
Sooo, then I thought: why not put all of this somewhere other people can actually use it? And that's how The Senna Edit started.
It's a collection of places I've tried and loved, along with little discoveries I think are worth sharing. From good restaurants to weekend getaways and everything in between.
I want this website to feel like getting recommendations from a friend. No endless lists of places I've never been to, just my personal favourites and honest experiences.
A recommendation from a friend, just one who happens to write everything down.
