LUNCH SPOTS
In Barcelona

The places I’ve actually tried,
and would send a friend to.
Barcelona has no shortage of places to eat, which somehow makes choosing where to have lunch even harder. This is my running list of lunch spots I’ve actually tried — from casual tapas and wine to places worth dressing up for. No endless list of restaurants pulled from Google. Just places I’ve eaten at myself, what I’d order and whether I’d go back.
BAR BOCATA
Runny tortilla, croquetas and a bottle of cold Verdejo. Bar Bocata is the kind of place I’d choose for a long, casual lunch with a friend rather than a special occasion.

HONEST GREENS
Healthy food that actually tastes like something. I’ve been to Honest Greens a few times now and it keeps surprising me with how much flavour they manage to pack into dishes that still feel fresh and light. Perfect before or after a day of sightseeing — or when your body is politely asking for vegetables and some protein.
