I’d seen the Sagrada Família so many times from the outside, but stepping inside is something else — the details and colourful light are almost magical. And the fact they started building it in 1882 and still aren’t done? Talk about taking your time...

The MOCO Museum surprised me in the best way. It’s not too big, but there’s plenty to see — from inspiring quotes and paintings to sculptures and modern art. I’d especially recommend it for a rainy Barcelona afternoon. Tickets can be a little pricey, but if you have some time to spare, it’s definitely worth a visit.

The Picasso Museum is actually next to the MOCO Museum, in the beautiful El Born (the building it is in is also so pretty btw). We visited on the last Sunday of the month and got in for free, which made it even better. The collection takes you through Picasso’s earlier work and his connection to Barcelona. My advice? GO, even if it’s just for a quick visit!
