The Moco Museum

So if you're in El Born and walking past the Picasso Museum, keep going a little further because right next to it is the Moco Museum, and I really think it deserves just as much attention.
For anyone who hasn't heard of it, MOCO has over 100 modern, contemporary, digital and immersive art pieces. Artists like Banksy, Kusama, Basquiat and loads more. It's basically a museum that keeps up with what contemporary art actually looks like right now, not just old stuff behind glass.
What I liked most is how interactive it is. You're not just standing and staring, you actually get to feel part of it. There's a room with light installations that honestly left me speechless, and some digital immersion parts too which I thought were really cool.
My favourite piece was The Little Gardeners by Guillermo Lorca García-Huidobro, a Chilean painter. It's so detailed it's almost overwhelming, in the best way. It plays with this old baroque idea called horror vacui, basically the fear of leaving any space empty, and you can really see that in the painting. There's something to look at everywhere.
Apart from that piece, what I really appreciate about MOCO is that a lot of the quotes and sculptures actually feel relevant to how people think today. It's not disconnected from real life, which a lot of museums can feel like sometimes. I'm honestly a big fan.
If you're someone who hasn't been to many museums and feels a bit unsure about it, I'd say this is a really good one to start with. It's easy to enjoy even if you don't know much about art.
Price wise, I think it's fair. I got the student discount and paid 14.95€, otherwise it's 16.95€ for adults. If you buy your ticket online, it can also save you time at the entrance, as there can be quite a queue at the door. I'll leave the ticket link here for you.
